Tips on competing as a team via video
eQuiz League Nights
Compete in our weekly eQuiz League and stand a chance to win!
Our eQuiz Nights are one hour long and are meant to be a fun activity for friends and family to complete together or against one another!
This is a completely digital quiz where questions will come in different formats such as multiple choice, true or false, fill in the blanks and free text.
There will be sound clips, video clips and multiple images which can be data intensive so we suggest utilizing a decent cost effective internet connection.
How it works
- You can compete individually or as a team based in one location or multiple locations.
- If you are competing as a team you need to elect a Team Captain.
- Only the Team Captain will input the teams answers (each member should not enter their own answers).
- Rounds will become available at set times.
- Winners will be announced the following day.

Remote Quiz Team Solutions
Competing as team a based in different locations?
Not a problem! We know that during these times we might have friends and family that we can’t get to see or worse, they are based in different cities or countries. Thanks to Adarna though, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a weekly dose of Quiz fun to reconnect and share a laugh and maybe even a drink!
Below we have detailed how you can connect and compete in our eQuiz Nights.
Team Requirements
The first thing you need to do is elect a Team Captain. This person should be the person with the best access to internet and devices along with being the most “tech savvy” for convenience.
The Team Captain will host the eQuiz for the rest of the team and submit answers
Team Captains
Team Captain’s are required to host the Team Video.
You will therefore need a laptop or desktop connected to the internet as the easiest device to do this from.
We recommend using Google Meetings as the easiest solution because you can share your screen and Google provides free meetings for 60 minutes and sometimes even more. You can choose any platform though if you want, but you need to be able to share your screen.
You are then required to share the online meeting link with your team.
Team Members
Team members need to join your Team Captains online meeting
All you will need is any device that can connect to the internet and use the meeting platform your Team Captain has chosen.
Your Team Captain will share the meeting link with you to join.
How does your team see all the questions and answers?
The Team Captain will share their screen with the team.
On Google Meetings or whichever platform you are on, you need to “present you screen” or “share your screen” on the online meeting you are hosting so that the rest of the team can see your screen. You can then navigate and complete the eQuiz with your team seeing all the questions and answers and providing their input.
Does every team member need to submit their own answers?
No!
Only the Team Captain will submit answers on behalf of the team and the rest of the team will provide their input via the online meeting.
Ensuring your security and privacy
Make sure your internet activity is secure and safe by making sure you use a internet security program such as Avast. This can aslo assist with a secure VPN if you require one.

About
Join our eQuiz Nights
If we can't get down to our local pub quiz then we are going to bring the local pub quiz to your homes!
Adarna is hosts eQuiz Nights on a weekly basis so be sure to register and join in the fun!
How does it work
Register
Anyone is invited to join in! Compete in a team or individually – the choice is yours. Questions are aimed at a higher level so children under 16 years old might struggle but are welcome to still join in.
Compete as households or get the team back together by connecting via video meetings (we should all be an expert at those now!)
How does the eQuiz work?
Our eQuiz will consist of five rounds of questions. Each round will be slightly different and you have a time limit to answer each set of questions in a round to avoid any cheating via phones etc. There is a 10 minute break between each set of questions.
Our eQuiz night is slightly different as there is no physical host hosting the video/quiz, but rather we facilitate the eQuiz by providing the questions online which are opened up at a set time for each round on our website (link will be provided).
Competing as a team via Video
More information will be relayed to you, but if you are competing as a team you will need to select a Team Captain who will be the “host” for their Quiz Team. Essentially the Team Captain will host the video meeting where they will share their screens with questions on it for the team to see and provide their voice as to what the correct answer is.
The Team Captain will then select an answer on behalf of the team before the timer runs out.
What do you need?
First of all – your thinking hat!
If you are competing as an individual or in one location:
- Any device that can access the internet
- Internet connection
If you are competing as a team via video:
- Assign a Team Captain (best internet connection)
- Team Captains will have to have a desktop/laptop/iPad from which to host a video meeting (we recommend using Google Meet)
- Team Captains will have to have a secure high speed uncapped line for best use
- Team members will need any device that can connect to the video meeting with an internet connection
That’s it! Although we recommend breaking out that limited supply of booze or trying out that new Still you have been working on.

Are scores tracked and is there an overall winner?
At the end of each round there will be a live leaderboard to show team scores. At the end of the quiz all the points will be tallied up and an overall winner will be announced the next day.
How much is it to enter?
Generally our entry fee is R50 per team, but might differ for themed eQuizzes and special events.
